Throwdowns

Throwdowns are a series of FUN events aimed at bringing communities of recreational boaters together in the spirit of simple competition. These events allow for simple scoring and keep things light and fun. Points for front surfs, wathunks, paddle waves and the standard playboating moves make this fun for all. The categories allow for anyone to do well and we all judge each other. Prizes are not given to top rides, but are raffled off to all participants like door prizes.

 

Purple Hayes School of Kayaking is pleased to be invited to host these events here in Chilliwack . With the success of the Western Canada Throwdowns we are excited to host Throwdowns again here in Chilliwack.

 

 

Chilliwack

We have had the last of the Throwdowns for the 2010 season and it was a great year. We had water until the end at the Osborne wave. The wave was small for the last Throwdown but with a large number of beginners it made it easy for everyone to get on the wave and get some rides.

A special thanks to Tracey, Brent and Mat for the great pictures taking during all of the Throwdowns.

I would like to thank everyone for making this year better than last year and look forward to next year.
