Purple Hayes Fun and Freestyle Junior Club

 

This club is dedicated to children with various sessions for various ages. It is our goal to give children a fun and safe place to develop friendships, knowledge, and awareness of the environment and the respect for these things while having fun kayaking.

Lake Sessions

For our younger children approximately 12 years and younger there will be lake sessions for them to play and paddle while learning the FUNdamentals of the sport.

River Sessions

For the older children there will be river runs suitable to the children's ability and comfort level. They will be welcome on the lake sessions as well.

Freestyle Friday

Once per month we will also be doing a Freestyle Friday where the time will be focused on freestyle moves.

Freestyle kayaking, also known as playboating, is a form of kayaking
where a paddler performs a variety of tricks and moves.

During the year there will be opportunities to allow the club members to try other aspects of paddle sports. Future plans would include setting up a paddle sports weekend with other junior clubs and other various events. Pool sessions in the winter will also be set up. These will not be included with the club fees but will have a discounted rate for club members.

Club fees are:

• Lake only $25.00
• River and lake $50.00
